An easier way is to just symlink the missing library to the new one: sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libltdl.so.7 /usr/lib/libltdl.so.3 There's been some discussion on the forums about the problem with libtools: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=46146 I had the same problem.
